What Is Age-related Macular Degeneration?
A condition where the central vision becomes blurry due to a damaged macula. It is one of the most common causes of irreversible vision loss in the country.
However, many of its symptoms often go unnoticed until one’s vision is already very blurry; making routine and timely eye examinations all the more important for prompt diagnosis and treatment.

Factors That Increase AMD Risk
If you are over the age of 50 or have a family history of AMD, you are considered to be at a higher risk of developing AMD as well and should visit an ophthalmologist for a detailed screening.
The ability to detect early signs of AMD and embark on immediate treatment can go a long way in preserving vision and slowing disease progression.
